Bengaluru Habba

Hi All,

Happy Monday.

7th edition of Bengaluru Habba is back in the city.

'Habba' in Kannada means 'Festival'. Dec 11 to 20th this three-week-long festival promises to offer everyone an exciting cultural experience.

The Habba is promoted by Artists Foundation for Arts (AFFA), formed in 2002, to bring performing arts to the public. Events will include music, dance, film panorama, street theatre, adventure sports, a golf tournament, tennis ball cricket tournament, pulling race, vintage car rally. Apart from art, the Haba has eat outs, shopping and also film elements.

This year the Habba will have more than 50 performances in various parts of the city including Palace Grounds, Cubbon Park, Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Seva Sadan and even BBMP Parks. Public can watch the events for free.

Luckily I got VIP passes for Sri Praveen Godkhindi, Pt. Jasaraj, Pt. Balamuralikrishna programmes at Chowdiah memorial hall.

Try to collect passes and enjoy the habba.

Sponge Flowers

Hi,

Recently i tried flower making with sponge. Its very easy anybody can make this beautiful flowers with few materials. Even kids can make this.

Take a sponge sheet cut it into a long stripe, or rectangle shape, keep a aluminium wire or even long match box stick (to make a individual flower), and roll it in to circular tie the ends with thread.

I did this with a white and yellow sponges and I arranged with leaves and other flowers in a vase.

Stocking Flowers

These are stocking cloth flower. I learned this from web pages. I tried this last month it came out very pretty.

Materials required are :
1. Stocking cloth, colour of your choice
2. Aluminum wire
3. Thread
4. Green flower tape
5. Pollens

Bend the aluminum wire in a petal shape and tie the ends, take stocking cloth and stretch the cloth and cover a wire and tie the end with thread.
Take a pollens ( 3 to 4) and tie to a aluminium stem wire, and arrange all petals to this stem one by one and tie the end by tread. Finally cover the stem with green flower tape. You can make any flower according to your chocie.

I took 3 colours of stocking cloth and prepared 3 types of flowers and arranged it.

Yesterday i tried this following white lily flower.

Following picture is inspiration for the above white stocking flower which was at my lappy long back i downloaded by internet.

Hope you all liked this.
